1. Add the Shortcut

(Shortcut link coming soon — contact Bharath)

Once added, you can say "Hey Siri, Ask OiMy" to start talking. The shortcut dictates what you say and sends it as an iMessage to OiMy.

How it works

  1. Raise your wrist and say "Hey Siri, Ask OiMy"
  2. Speak naturally — as if texting a friend: "Arjun had a rough morning again"
  3. Siri sends your voice as an iMessage to OiMy
  4. OiMy replies in Telegram (or iMessage if configured)

What to say

Parent (Apple Watch): "We had a total meltdown this morning. Maya wouldn't put on shoes and I lost it. I feel terrible."

OiMy: "That sounds like a really hard start to the day. Losing it sometimes doesn't make you a bad parent — it means you're human and you're running on empty. What happened after?"

OiMy isn't a productivity app. You don't have to ask it anything specific — just talk.

Before you set up

iPhone with Shortcuts app (iOS 16+)
iMessage channel connected to OiMy
Apple Watch (optional — also works via Siri on AirPods)
Telegram works too if your OiMy is Telegram-connected

The iMessage channel must be active. If you're not sure, send a message to your OiMy iMessage contact and check for a reply.

Build it yourself 2 min

If you prefer to build the shortcut manually in the Shortcuts app:

  1. Open Shortcuts → tap + (New Shortcut)
  2. Add action: Dictate Text → Language: English
  3. Add action: Send Message
  4. Set recipient to your OiMy iMessage contact
  5. Set message body to Dictated Text (tap to insert variable)
  6. Name the shortcut "Ask OiMy" and tap Done
